Job description
As part of this team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a wide range of microservices and user-facing applications. Demonstrated skills in creating React-based UIs and Scala-based microservices will be prioritized for this position. Additional experience in functional programming with Kotlin or Java or front-end frameworks is an advantage. Your responsibilities will include refining solutions, proposing technical implementations, code review on GitHub, testing in staging environments, proposing new ways of working and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Write code to implement features and improve the (web/mobile) apps and microservices
- Review code from your colleagues within your own Scrum team and throughout the team
- Discuss and collaboratively solve software and product problems with your team engineers, designers, and stakeholders
- Active communication to brainstorm solutions and make technical decisions
- Implementing quality products and nurturing an innovative team culture
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of programming experience in the backend (with Java or Kotlin)
- Demonstrated experience in building microservices with Scala
- Functional programming has no secrets for you
- Expertise in coding practices and staying abreast of trends
- Basic knowledge of GitHub and familiarity with agile development methodologies
