Our client is a financial, administrative and international business services firm advising local businesses and international clients. As a Trust company, they provide corporate, compliance and risk services, legal support, tax returns and full administrative and accounting support.

Job description

As Compliance Officer, you will report directly to the Board of Directors and give substance and shape to Compliance, Risk & Governance within our client's Amsterdam office. You are responsible for drafting, issuing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures so that the company complies with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, you act as a sounding board for the Executive Board.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group training to employees to increase compliance awareness;
  • Responsible for client (re)underwriting process and transaction monitoring;
  • Perform compliance monitoring and reporting activities and timely reporting of events, incidents and unusual transactions;
  • Provide support for the external compliance audit;
  • Proactively advise on the implementation of laws and regulations, policies and ways to further improve processes and procedures;
  • Identify integrity and compliance risks at our client, and design management measures to mitigate these risks;
  • Act as a sparring partner for the company's management. - Develop, implement and (have implemented) the company's compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Law, Economics or similar;
  • Good familiarity with applicable legislation (WTT 2008, Sanctions Act, Wwft);
  • Minimum of four years' experience in Compliance;
  • Experience writing and implementing policies and procedures;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English;
  • Strong personality, able to work under pressure;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
